The brunt of Cyclone Cliff passed well clear of Tonga on Thursday night.

 

Despite leaving Fiji damaged after experiencing the force of Cyclone Cliff, Tonga escaped suffering mainly heavy rains and strong winds.

 

According to reports the Cyclone passed 110km south, south west of Fua’motu at it’s closest point to the main Island Tongatapu.
