MP Sam Lotu-‐Iiga accompanied Tonga’s Prime Minister Hon. Samiuela ‘Akilisi Pohiva to lay a wreath at Auckland War Memorial Museum this afternoon. After the wreath was laid the Last Post was played, and The Ode was recited in Maori and English followed by a minute’s silence. The party then departed the museum to visit the University of Auckland’s law school. One of the recent law student graduates Mrs Katalina Ketu’u Tafuna was there to welcome the Hon. PM and his delegates. The Tongan leader is visiting New Zealand for the first time as Prime Minister.
