Tonga's Prime Minister Fred Sevele is inviting Philippine businessmen to invest in his nation, especially in shopping malls.
The agriculture secretary, Arthur Yap said Dr. Sevele made the invitation during a meeting with Philippine President Gloria Arroyo at the presidential palace.
Tonga’s Prime Minister has invited a lot of Philippine investors, especially the big retailers like the SM group, to put up malls in Tonga. The malls could benefit from increased tourism to Tonga,” said Yap.
The SM group, owned by ethnic Chinese tycoon Henry Sy Senior, operates the biggest shopping malls in the Philippines and has interests in banking and real estate as well.

If I were a Pro Demo Supporter, my comments would not be what I have so far posted.
I am simply seeking that the PM be transparent in his decision making.
Failure to do so only results in the rousing of suspicions. And this is now the case. Sevele has not provided any rational grounds for delaying the political reform. In the absence of providing a rational reason for wanting to delay it only adds to the public's discontent that he (Mr Sevele) has alterior motives.
Im sorry KF, but if any Prime Minister is not transparent in his dealings with his own people, then he is asking for trouble. And its usually trouble that is lurking in the hidden agenda's of PM's and ministers that do not diclose the facts to the public.
In such cases that we are now experiencing KF, the onlookers will assume the worse case of the PM. They will assume that he (the PM) is hiding something.
So like our fathers have always told us KF, its best to be honest up front. That removes all suspicion.
If Sevele would adopt that approach, im sure his approval rating would rise considerably.
