Tonga's King has appointed one of his Law Lords - Lord Tupou yesterday, to be the interim speaker of the Legislative Assembly and is now calling for nominations for a Prime Minister Designate.
Lord Tupou is one of the four Law Lords and a former Minister of Justice, Attorney General, and a former judge.
'Akilisi Pohiva, told TNEWS that a new Prime Minister is expected to be elected and be known in about 14 days. The results of the Writ of Election is also expected to hand over to His Majesty via His Lord Chamberlain, Viella Tupou by the Supervisor of Elections Pita Vuki today.
