While Tonga fans are out celebrating their 'Ikale Tahi magnificent victory over France in Wellington last night, it is France not Tonga going through to the next round.

Both teams were very strong especially at the first half hour but Tonga fought all the way. Their persistence got paid off at the end. They beat France 19-14 in Rugby World Cup Pool A.

One News reports "The thrill of victory was felt outside the Tonga captain's house in Mangere where a spontaneous parade burst out amongst his family and those who could not be in Wellington".

Last evening as England and Scotland fans made their way to Eden Park ahead of the big clash, Tongan supporters descended on waterfront fan zones to watch their side's game.
