Although it is unclear the cause of the fire that gutted Prime Minister ‘Akilisi Pohiva’s residential house in Tonga, an investigation is underway according to the Officer in Charge of the Investigation, Lofia from the Tonga Fire Service & Emergency.

Lofia told TNEWS it’s an accidental fire according to the evidence he has received so far.

Prime Minister told TNEWS he is thankful no one is hurt and he hopes his important documents and tapes survived the fire.  TNEWS understands his daughters Lautala and Teisa were trying to rescue their father’s documents and they have successfully rescued some.
