Finau to the Knights!
Congratulations to William Finau, who is WA first player to sign an NRL club contract through the West to East program, stemming from Western Australia.
Will, who hails from South Hedland, WA, played his first year of SG Ball for the Western Pirates this year, has represented his state twice and has also rocked his way into the Combined Affiliated States squad that will play in July.
Although Will has gained the interest of several NRL clubs across Australia, he has penned a two year deal with the Knights, making him a Novocastrian until at least the end of the 2018 season, where his role as front-rower will be spread through his second year of SG Ball and also the NYC squad.
Will’s achievement’s on the field have been exceptional since becoming a part of the Affiliated States Schoolboys team at just 15, and while he is the master of his trade, he will only continue to get better while being coached through an NRL club system at the Newcastle Knights.
Now the hard work begins.  William Finau’s father – Mr. Hingano Finau (Lotofoa Faleloa Foa Ha’apai) and mother from Australia – Dolly Colfer.
